State of Georgia Terrain

From a user request, Georgia! With terrain ranging from the Appalachian Blue Ridge Mountains in the north, to the flat coastal plains and marshes in the south, the model introduces some wide variety. Towards the south we see one of North America’s largest freshwater swamps.

Print Settings

This was modeled and printed with a 0.4 nozzle and I find the terrain details amazing already. Using a 0.2 nozzle may provide additional details but might not be worth the extra time taken to print. I have also uploaded a larger model in the same print profile which is larger than the scaled version. This is better suited for a one of display. Based on prior feedback, I have reduced the vertical exaggeration in the larger model which retains the features but does not make it look “too much” in certain states.

This is a big and detailed model, be patient when slicing. Please ensure your bed is clean for proper adhesion, a brim is not recommended as it will be a pain to properly remove due to the tiny curves/angles of the model. Ironing on for the best looking terrain!
