Description

Disclaimer: Use at your own risk. There is no certainty of print quality. I have had no issues with strength or delamination, but your holds may break on you.

All holds are designed to be mounted with #8 screws.

My goal with this set was to create the building blocks of a systems board with a few parametric models for all the basic hold shapes.

I've included the Python files needed to create your own (with OpenSCAD and SolidPython, you'll have to get those yourself but they're free). The holds I've uploaded are my default parameter values, plus a variation on the pinch and crimp which is in the python file as well. I really like the crimp, but I think it may be devisive. The incut is a little unpleasant but really holds fingers. I was trying to recreate a very specific hold I like from the gym.

The jug isn't the most enjoyable. I'm going to make a set that's entirely variations in spheres like a few of the ones in my assorted set, and I think those are much more pleasant as jugs.

WIP: There's a function for a sloper, but I wasn't completely happy with it. I've been of the mind that slopers are better left to wood, at least with my current print profile as they would take up too much plastic. I tried to make each model functional by only changing the parameters, but I can't guarantee you won't need to move the screwholes around in the models themselves sometimes. The pinch incut could be made more comfortable. The crimp incut is a little sharp intentionally, but this could be an additional parameter. The default jug is somewhat sharp and uncomfortable, so you may want to increase the radius and/or adjust the incut angle for your wall angle.
