Description

A lever style turnbuckle adjuster made for the stock Melges 15 turnbuckles, but will probably work with other ¼" open body turnbuckles

It's recommended to print the bracket piece completely solid with a CF Nylon, as it needs to be quite strong. The other pieces are less strength critical.

Before pressing the bracket onto the turnbuckle, check that spinning in the + direction tightens the turnbuckle, as it's easy to install upside down and have it wrong.

If you print the included .3mf, the internal geometry of the parts are optimized by increasing wall/infill in critical areas and decreasing them where not needed. This cuts weight by around 20g.

I've included two versions of the bracket that fits over the turnbuckle, one featuring an accent color for the +/- indicators, one without. The accent can be of PETG or ASA. It's inlayed so adhesion to the nylon isn't important.

The parts look better printed with support, but will print OK without. For support, PETG as an interface material works very well with nylons.
