Description
I woke up one morning and tried to turn on my shower only to discover that the tiny plastic piece that transferred force from your hand to the actual shaft that controls the water valve had broken and the whole thing was spinning freely. “Damn,” I thought. "To CAD!"
One set of measurements with my calipers and one test print later and the new knob was printing. I had the shower working before noon! :triumph:
I'm including a link to the Onshape Document here so you can tweak the dimensions to suit your use case. This one needed to fit a 7/16" shaft with a 3/16" integral key.
(I recommend testing by cutting the model to just print the interface before printing the whole knob.)
