Description

100mm diameter pipe insert with active carbon pelets for eliminating unwanted smells, can be used in many aplications- printer box filter, toillet filter or grow box filter… its really up to you

main cylinder must be printed with 0 bottom and 0 top layers, 6perimeters. select triangular infill 30% or 40% for making a mesh on the bottom

Print 6 tubes and glue them on the cylinder bottom in triangle pattern, air must go thru these tubes. If air cant get thru the tube filter wont work. to maximize airflow through the filter print more pipes.

Now you can fill the filter with pellets, takes up around 500g. Look out for pellets falling inside pipes, it will block the airflow.

Use glue to stick lid on the filter same as the pipes on bottom

You can slide it inside ventilation pipe and secure it with clamps same as your axial fan. Filter is same size as 100 mm axial fans which makes it great option for growbox solutions.

Unfiltered air also passes through the filter via the inner tubes, correct?

correct. I suspect that the creator is using too weak a fan, as an activated carbon filter normally does not work like this. I will print it and test it with a sufficiently strong fan from the homefront area
