Boost Me (for free)
The simplest and fastest way to support my work. Thank you!
I tried to make this design as simple as possible, with a realistic look and 3D printable at the best possible quality because I wanted, in the end, not to have just another piece of plastic on the shelf but a beautiful desk clock, even if it is 3D printed. Some of you will like it, some of you won't. But in my book, I succeeded. Thank you for the amazing support on Facebook, it has been truly overwhelming.
A rim with wall hanging support will be added later, I totally forgot about it while designing and I do not want to release it without to print test it first.
Because no printer is the same, some of you will have problems with the clock hands. With the inner diameter, to be exact. Therefore, if what I have included in my design does not match the tolerance of your printer, I have included a parametric sketch for the clock hands, where you can modify any dimensions (in Fusion).
As for the assembly, it is quite simple: glue the thicker brake disc to the clock mechanism case, then glue the thinner brake disc to the thick one. I'm making a note here, it's not really necessary to print the thinner brake disc , from an aesthetic point of view it's kind of useless, looking at the clock from the front, it's practically invisible. Then glue the rim to the tire, then the rim ring to the tire and the rim, on the back side. Mount the clock on the rim using the included washers (the rubber one inside), put the nut case on, and that's it.
