What is it?
This is a lens holder to mount CO2 laser cutter focus lenses to a Tooltop T7 thermal USB camera.
It is a cheap and good way to achive thermal macro images required in SMD electronic fault inspection.

What do i need?
- Tooltop T7 thermal camera
- CO2 Laser focus lens (12, 18 or 20mm diameter)
- Grease or soap
How to print?
- Use the supplied print profile.
- Print in PLA one part at a time using 0.2mm layer height.
- As this is a sliding part, i recommend a smooth build plate as well as ironing on all surfaces of the lens holder.
- The lens holder is a tight friction fit! If it does not fit, check your printer calibration.
You may want to modify the “inner hole expansion” setting (my print profile defaults to +0,05mm for the lens holders)
Assembly
Insert the Camera in the shell
DON'T use force! Otherwise it could be very difficult do get the camera out again. (Don't ask me how i know)The shell is about 0.1mm oversized. The camera should slide in with a light to moderate resistance.
Never push on the camera lens or pull on the USB connector. Your camera could be damaged

Press the lens in the lens holder, facing the convex side down.
(Get this right, otherwise it will not fit and/or your Lens will get scratched)
Place the lens holder on a flat and clean surface and push carefully on the perimeter (use a microfiber cloth to avoid fingerprints)
The Lens must be flush with the surrounding surface!

Clip the lens holder on the shell

- Add some grease (or soap)
If you encounter some sort of "binding" of the sliding mechanism, apply a very tiny amount of grease (or dish soap) inside the rails.
Use a toothpick or small screwdriver.
I won't recommend oil, as it may soak in and get where you don't want it
