Description
Marker Kit Block – Modular Magnetic Targets for 3D Scanners
A modular, magnetic marker kit designed for accurate and flexible 3D scanning.
Compatible with any 3D scanner, depending on the markers you choose.
We designed and crafted the Marker Kit Block as a modular and customizable solution for precise 3D scanning, inspired by professional marker systems such as those used by Revopoint, but with greater flexibility and full user control.
The kit is compatible with any 3D scanner, depending on the markers you decide to use, making it ideal for makers, designers, and reverse-engineering workflows.
📦 Kit Contents
Each shape is designed to offer different reference geometries during scanning:
- Pyramid – base 67 mm × height 55 mm
- Ball – Ø 30 mm
- Dome – base Ø 40 mm × height 23 mm
- Bar – 12 × 12 × 205 mm
All parts include a magnet slot on the base designed for:
- Round magnet Ø 10 mm × 2 mm thickness
Magnets can be easily glued after printing and allow quick repositioning on metallic surfaces.
Markers
- Recommended markers: 6 mm inner diameter / 10 mm outer diameter
- Compatible with Revopoint-style markers, but you are free to use any marker or magnet system that suits your workflow.
Printing Notes
- Bar orientation
- Recommended: vertical for optimal magnet hole tolerance
- Alternative: horizontal with supports (faster, but may require light post-processing)
- Layer height
- Suggested profile: 0.12 mm for best surface quality
- Thicker layers are possible but may reduce final precision
Why this kit?
- Fully modular: print only what you need
- Magnetic: fast setup and repositioning
- Scanner-agnostic: not locked to a single brand
- Designed for reliable tracking and repeatable scans
A simple but powerful addition to any 3D scanning + 3D printing workflow.
