Description

Many people downloaded my space-efficient socket holders, but some requested 1 row socket organizers as well. Here they are! This set is for 3/8" drive imperial and metric sockets - deep and shallow! If you're curious why some sizes are missing, it's because these are the sizes included in the socket set I own.

A 1/2" drive version can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/932306

Boost Me (for free)

Hey everyone! I’ve put a ton of time (and filament!) into designing these! If you like my work, I’d really appreciate a boost!

The hole sizes are 1mm larger in diameter than my DeWalt sockets. Sockets from other manufacturers may be too large to fit. I'd hate for anyone to waste a bunch of filament printing the holders only to find out their sockets don't fit! I strongly suggest printing the two different hole test print files to ensure your sockets will fit. It only takes about 30g of filament to print both test files.

The labels are printed separately and glued onto the socket holders. I was able to print them with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm layer height. I changed filament color after layer 3 (0.6mm).

Print Settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Wall Line Count: 3
  • Top Layers: 4
  • Bottom Layers: 3
  • Infill: 15% Gyroid

I was having issues with the corners warping, so I used a skirt with 10 lines and a distance of 0.0mm. I chose this method instead of a brim because it eliminates the brim between the grid lines. If you are concerned about warping or experiencing similar issues, you might want to give this a try. I’ve included a screenshot of the skirt settings for reference.

If you decide to print these and have a chance, please leave a review! If you have any issues or questions, leave a comment and I will do my best to address it for you!

Here is a link to the original space-efficient socket holders if you want to check those out too! You can find holders for ¼" drive sockets in this set!

Printed the 3/8" and my stanley black chrome sockets fir perfectly. Printing the 1/2" drive version as I type this. Do you happen to have a 1/4" drive version?

I don't have a 1-row version for quarter inch socket holders. I do have two-row versions designed to hold deep and shallow sockets in one holder. If you think that could work, you can use the link at the bottom of the description for this model to find them. It should be green text that says "original space-efficient socket holders ". I have had a few people ask for 1-row versions of the quarter inch socket holders, but I haven't had time to design them. If I ever make them and post the models I will let you know.

You're welcome! I'm in the process of doing the same with my tool chest. It sure takes a long time when designing everything from scratch, but it has been very rewarding. I hope these work out well for you!

Hello! They are included in the STL files. Just download the STL files and you should have them. I did notice another user posted a print profile but did not include those files in the profile. I am sorry I have not personally created a print profile with everything. I don't have much experience in Bambu Studio and worry if I post a print profile I will cause issues for other users. Once I get better with Bambu Studio I will create a print profile with all components.
