Rubbermaid 32 qt / 9 gallon trash reinforcement

I am so tired of my Rubbermaid trashcan handles breaking.  We slide our can in and out from under the kitchen sink many times every day.  The cheap plastic handle always breaks, and plastic staples don't work ( I tried).  So, I created this model to reinforce the handles on each end.  It straightens the end and provides immense stability with a friction fit.  Glue, rivets. or screws could be used if it doesn't want to stay put, but it will not budge on my new can.  This is specifically for the 9 gallon, 32 quart wastebasket, which holds Costco's Kirkland Signature kitchen trash bags perfectly, and fits under our kitchen sink, barely.
