This is a desiccant container that goes in the lid of the typical cereal dry box containers, similar to these:

In general I didn't want to have to pull apart a dry box to get desiccant out of the bottom and wanted a nice opening for desiccant.  This model fits the bill.  
 

This is a remix to a shorter version (roughly 15.5 mm shorter) of the following model (shown in the pic on the left, the shorter version on the right):

I plan to incorporate into a feeder and may make it longer on the inside to hold a little more desiccant but want to check clearances first.  As it stands, it will hold about 45 grams of desiccant; the larger version held about 75, which is about how much a typical spool center holder will hold.
