Miniature boat electric engine kit-010 alternative
Print Profile(3)

Description
This is a miniature boat electric engine with an electric motor and a AAA battery to replace the kit-010 small model. The idea came because I received the kit-010 model when I ordered my Bambulab P1S. Therefore I felt obligated to print the boat model to go with it. And since my brothers have 4 kids altogether, I figured I needed 3 more engines to avoid a Christmas war! You will need a small electric motor. The design was made for this specific very popular electric motor (See link below). A single AAA battery is needed. The design was done so that you won't need an ON/OFF switch and you can create the contacxts with aluminum foil paper (See pictures). There are 2 versions, one short and one higher. That is to change the center of gravity to make sure your model floats! To be compatible with all boats models made for Kit-010, you will need the high version to be able to clip the engine. But it may sink your model because of the weight so you'll need to print a keel (Just like for a real boat) to stabilize it. Look for one in the print profiles. There is one gear with a smaller hole of 2mm that is intended for the engine's shaft. The 3 other gears have a hole of 2.75mm to fit 2.5mm rods. The very easy way to find 2.5mm cheap rods is to buy knitting needles #2.5 (check the pictures). The lengths needed are shown in the pictures.
