Bird Buddy 4x4 Post Mount

4x4 Fence Post Mount for the Bird Buddy feeder system.

Uses the included pole mount, but allows you to attach the feeder to the top of a 4x4 post.

My design has material that both goes into the pole mount and surrounds the OEM pole mount to provide added lateral strength.

Unlike some other designs I've seen, mine includes 8X 1mm channels to account for the 4X 1mm raised lines inside the OEM pole mount.  This allows you to lock the rotation of the feeder to one of the CARDINAL (…get it…) directions: North, South, East, West, NE, NW, SE, SW. 

I printed it in PETG for the better outdoor resilience.

I sized it to need some pressure to install the OEM pole mount into my 4x4 post mount, but with PETG and my settings it fits snugly. This way it's nice and tight and doesn't move when birds land on it. 

I designed the screw holes to accommodate #8 sized screws. I used coated outdoor screws meant for pressure treated wood. 

If you're curious, the white part of my post is a 4x4 vinyl post sleeve to try to deter squirrels from climbing. It's a pressure treated wood post underneath.
