I was looking for a way to always have the correct size socket to drain my RV water heater, so I made this. Printed with 0.6 nozzle but can be printed with 0.4. The size is 15/16". Printed in both PLA and PetG, both have worked. Printed with .6 and .4 nozzles, both work. If using petg do yourself a favor and use pla for supports, much easier to remove.

Please check your trailer for the appropriate size. It seems that some of the newer trailers have a 27-28mm plug rather than the 15/16".

Ok. I found the problem, when I uploaded the new profile (28mm) it was denied for some reason so the profile never changed from the 27mm. I have reuploaded the 28mm profile and it was accepted, I have checked it to make sure it updated this time. Sorry about that I should have double checked to make sure it was verified.

It's a great model and it printed great - thanks! I was surprised to find it didn't fit my RV though. I just assumed the plugs were a standard size. (The wrench was too small.)

didn’t for mine either. I measured the size of the plug and it’s 27mm. I think your wrench is around 23mm. any chance you can up the size by chance? thanks.

Posted a new profile with a 27mm size wrench, hope it works for you. If not let me know and we can hopefully make changes to make it fit.

wouldn't this be better printed standing up on the socket end? Just put a hole in the handle and glue the cross piece in. It's a great idea this wrench.

This was the very first thing that I designed when I got a 3d printer and had no idea what I was doing, and sometimes I think I know even less now. But I did think about standing it up not too long ago and was worried about the strength of the shaft because of the horizontal layer lines and the twisting of the shaft, I thought that it would be stronger with the layer lines going the length of it. It is definitely harder to print horizontally but I feel like it will be stronger that way. I guess I should try one day and find out. Thanks for the input.

yeah it's a tough decision the forces from the socket and the handle are automatically 90° to each other it's kind of hard to figure out which one you want stronger

Sorry to hear about the fitment issue. A lot of us were under the impression that these were all a standard size until recently.

can confirm the 27mm fits on the new water plug, however extremely tight. I’d change it to 28mm to let it slip on. other then that this is great! thanks.
