Summary

This is a 1:44 scale model of the legendary Tsar Bomba that was the largest nuclear explosion in history at 50 megatons of TNT equivalent.  What makes the Tsar Bomba remarkable is that it wasn't just the largest nuclear explosion, it was also dropped from an aircraft as opposed to most other megaton class warheads that were tested on the ground.  It was so large that the bomb couldn't even fit inside the bomb bay of the Tu-95V bomber, so the bomb bay doors and fuselage fuel tanks were removed.

This model is very easy to assemble, just snap the two pieces together – no glue is required.  The silver radar antennas at the front are a little fragile, but the rest of the model is strong, so just be careful with the radar antenna tips.

Bambu Filaments used were:

  • Metal Iron Black
  • Basic Light Gray for the sign
  • Polymaker Metallic Silver (Amazon link)
    • Basic Silver would work too

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!
