Model Introduction
Mini Telescopic Sword 4 - Ice Soul Sword: Its prototype is the Ice Soul Sword, Blue Cat's weapon from the Chinese animated series 'Hongmao and Lantu' from childhood. The overall proportion of the sword has been redesigned to adapt to 3D printing. For children's use, the original sharp shape has been smoothed, and ice elements have been added to the details
This is the 4th sword in my mini telescopic sword series. Modeled in Fusion 360, Print in Place, assembly-free, prints in about 2 hours. A1 mini can also print it. The size is just right, suitable for both adults and children. I will continue to develop this series
Parameter explanation: Hand-painted supports (please don't change them 😂), no brim, other settings are standard

Notes:
1. It is recommended not to print multiple pieces at once, as the chance of failure will increase
2. Warm reminder to prevent spaghetti in cold weather: clean the plate, hotbed +5℃, spray/apply glue
3. If the first few layers of the model stick together and stretch before printing is complete, you can gently cut it with a utility knife
4. If a certain section does not extend smoothly, it might be a slight issue with material extrusion in the middle or layer misalignment. Extending it a few more times should make it smooth
2025-01-01 Update V3: Optimized Extension, Increased Print Stability
1. Optimized the occasional extension issue: Changed wall generator 'a wall' to 'classic', hole compensation changed to 0.1mm (This effectively makes the sword blade thinner and stabilizes line width, increasing tolerance for extension)
2. Increased stability: widened and thickened the first layer of the innermost sword blade's rectangular prism

Thanks to all friends who like the 'Hongqi' mini telescopic sword series. It's thanks to your support that I was able to complete this entire set of works so quickly. Originally, with my lazy personality, it might have taken until next year to update, but I felt many friends were looking forward to this set of works, so I hoped to finish all updates before the Chinese New Year, to the best of my ability. Finally, I finished it! It's so satisfying and exhilarating! Very exciting! Personally, I also gained a lot and was very happy during the design and production process. Thank you all~ As my skills still have many shortcomings, if you have any dissatisfaction, please feel free to offer suggestions for improvement, and I will try my best to optimize them. Design Anecdotes, optional 😘:
- The design constraint I set for the mini telescopic swords was to control the print time to about 2 hours. It's the joy of being able to 'harvest' after work with just a little bit of spare time. So its form won't be very long or large, it's more like a 'small knife'. But because of this, it's suitable for both children and adults to play with, relatively more suitable for daily handling. Printing defects, failures, or damage from later use won't cause much psychological burden
- All 7 swords were completely redesigned from scratch. Not AI-generated, nor traced from pictures. Only the overall appearance referenced the prototype, so it's not a 'one-to-one' restoration. And to transform them into small, telescopic swords, many adjustments were made to achieve overall coordination. The prototypes had some sharp parts, which considering they are for children to play with, and would also cause some printing difficulty, have all been optimized accordingly
- Making them exactly like the original would be a bit monotonous, so I added detailed embellishments based on my personal understanding wherever possible. However, at this print size, many details drawn wouldn't print, so I bounced back and forth between adding and removing details
- When researching the original animation, the appearance of these swords and their color schemes kept changing. It really confused me
- Surprisingly found that the 'Hongqi' animated series is available on Bilibili in 4K resolution
- Surprisingly found that Bilibili and Xiaohongshu still have official 'Hongqi' accounts operating and they've been recently updated
During a company dinner, I casually gave some test pieces to a colleague's daughter. She played with them nonstop. Getting approval from a child, this kind of happiness can't be compared to how many points I get on the platform
