Here I have a small sharpening device for chisels or plane blades. The sharpening jig has an adjustable stop to ensure that the tool is sharpened straight, as well as a folding protractor with angles of 30°, 25°, and 22.5°. The rear end of the blade must be at the height of the line so that you can sharpen at the respective angles.
For assembly, two square carriage bolts (M6) and two wing nuts are required.
For the wheel, you have two options: either print the long pin and the large solid wheel, or print the two cylinders and combine them with two ball bearings with an inner diameter of 8mm and an outer diameter of 16mm, using an M6 screw for this.

I will print this again, however.... the inner bushings do not accept a 6mm bolt with ease, the length/angle Indicator does not rotate freely and the bar that clamps the plane or chisel to the broke after 20 minutes of sharpening

Hi, that doesn't sound good. Are you using good-quality filament? I printed my first models with PLA from eSun, and they still work — they don’t get stuck and don’t break either. You could also try tweaking the print profile a bit — maybe increase the number of walls and the infill.

I printed it with Bambu PLA that was at 13% humidity in the AMS. I printed a new clamp bar, bushings and gauge with PETG from Creality and everything turned out better. I used gyroid on the clamp bar, didn't break, however it did flex a bit. printed new components with ABS-GF, will update with results.

A very interesting device But since not much force is applied here, couldn't the metallic screws be replaced with self-printed ones and perhaps included in the print file in the correct size And yes, from the appearance, I also find that the roller is too narrow and should be wider If there is a V2 of it, I will gladly print and test it Keep up the great work with such ingenious prints

Hello @Roger, A most intriguing suggestion I shall add screws for the printer when I have time You likely did not see the second version, the one with two rollers This version is more stable I will add the abbreviation V2 to the model name Thank you for your comment

red does not bound to the plate I've washed it with warm water and cleaned it with alcohol and still does not hold down the printer head just touches it and the entire rest of the print becomes a nest

I am very sorry that it doesn't work for you. What do you mean by red?

Overall, a good concept. When sharpening a narrow chisel, the entire device feels too unstable. Two rollers would be preferable.
