Drilling guide features:

  • Drill straight into material at 90 degree angle
  • Drill into the corner of your item for custom woodworking projects.
  • Drill perfectly straight hole through round object, due to it's design it will perfectly center itself.

Other 3D printed drilling guides need to be thrown away once they wear out, but not this one!

It comes with 3D printable sleeves that you can just replace anytime. Just replace your sleeve at the start of every new project and it will last you a lifetime! Sleeves take very little filament and therefor just have 1 or 2 in back up, so you don't have to pause your DIJ project.

To replace the sleeve, simply unscrew the old sleeve and screw on the new one, very simple and satisfying.

You can use basically every filament, besides Matt or silk PLA.

I love this idea, and the print came out really solid and sturdy! Used recommended settings, except I was lazy and didn't add a second color. The text is still readable, though. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sleeves didn't fit into the guide holes. I'm very much a beginner, so the issue could be user error. If you've got ideas about how to fix, definitely let me know, and I'll change my rating :)

Great design and really easy to use. I love the replaceable inserts, but had difficulty with plate adhesion when printing (I tried both Bambu Lab Cool Plate Supertack and Textured PEI). I think it's that there's not much contact area on the larger hole diameter inserts. Using an 'internal only' 5mm brim on these pieces fixed the printing problems and the brim was easy to remove after printing to leave a neat result.

I had the same issue with 8mm and 10mm inserts. I'm trying with a brim now, but I went with the outer brim. I'll see how it works. I saw that way into the print so I didn't want to waste other inserts, so I let it spaghetti to the end. Unfortunately, the inserts in the profile are a single object, so there was no option to skip. Fortunately, the spaghetti did not affect the other inserts. EDIT: The outer brim also failed for me, so the inner brim might be better. To be safe, I used both, and this time the print went smoothly. I also separated the inserts and moved them a little farther apart to minimize the impact if one of them fails.

Glad the brim finally worked for you. The reason why I chose an internal brim was that removing the outer brim from the knurled insert top was a real pain. I also moved the inserts onto a separate plate as the main block won’t need reprinting. I’m already on my second set of inserts for some sizes, so the removable design is a real winner for me.
