It can be played with as few as two players, but it's truly enjoyable with four or more. There is no upper limit to the number of players

Donkey Game is classified as a learning and concentration game. If one's discard pile becomes too large, it could almost be considered a dexterity game as well

Donkey Game has been around for over 50 years and is classically made of wood. However, the wooden version has the slight drawback that (especially children) can quickly identify the hidden donkey based on the wood grain

This is not the case with this plastic version

The individual game pieces measure 40 x 40 x 5 mm

The game consists of 121 pieces, 6 sets with the numbers 1 to 20 and 1 donkey piece

These 121 pieces fit very well into the box, which has a smooth-sliding, latching lid

The two dividers in the box, like the pieces, are 40 mm high

The pieces and dividers have a 2 mm gap to the lid, allowing for the inclusion of instructions

The instructions (PDF download) in German or English can be easily printed on DIN A4 paper, folded along the two fold marks on the left side, and placed in the box

The box measures 135 x 220 x 48.5 mm

The print profile contains five printing plates

The first printing plate is needed once. It contains the game pieces 1 to 20 + donkey

The second printing plate is needed five times. It is identical to the first, but without the donkey

The third printing plate is for the box

The fourth printing plate is for the lid with the inscription "Eselspiel"

The fifth printing plate is for the lid with the inscription "Donkey Game"
