Description

This monk's staff tip is modelled on the original Buddist staff.
It has been slightly upgraded for costplay purposes and consists of three semicircles (the original only have two) to hold the rings.
It is also known as khakkhara, xizhang, pinyin, pewter stick or beggar staff.
The small heel at the bottom is inserted into the stick (not included in the print) and glued. This increases the stability somewhat.
I have uploaded it as individual parts on three print beds or all three parts on one print bed.
I printed the cylinder horizontally as this saves a lot of support material, although it then has to be sanded again.

If you have any ideas or improvements, please write to me.

Hello.. I cosplay Miroku the Monk from the anime'/manga series InuYasha, and I have a staff prop I take with me to conventions, but it's a bit of a pain since it's not collapsable. I have the top part (called the Shakujou) printed in gold PLA from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2684295, but the creator over there on Thingiverse doesn't seem to want to reply to me. Could you help me adapt a collapsable monk staff for my purposes?

Greetings, It should be no problem to create something similar. I'm assuming the rod is made of wood

Yeah the rod is made of wood. I can get some wood PLA (or something strong enough to survive long term) to print it in, but the pieces would need to come apart (i.e. collapsable) so I can put them into my luggage when traveling with it. How can we start on this? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I wanted to ask if there is still a need to find a solution. Unfortunately, I couldn't report back sooner due to a longer hospital stay
