Description
Protective case for XT60H-F connectors (female)
In the attached .stl files you will find two different types of shells, type A with a standard 4mm output hole and type B with a 4x8mm oval hole. The choice of shells to print depends on the diameter of the wires you intend to use for your projects.
This protection was designed for female connectors, it also works for male connectors but the aesthetic result is not exceptional.
Typically XT60H connectors are used as outputs for lithium battery packs or, in any case, to power various types of devices. If your battery pack supplies a current greater than 5A, or if your device absorbs more than 5A, we recommend using type B protection because it supports a generously sized flat cable. In any case, remember that with this connector you cannot exceed a continuous absorption of 30A, for higher absorptions we recommend using an XT90 connector or other specific types.
Printing instructions:
The attached .3mf files contain all the settings needed to print the two shells using a generic PETG (Azure film) and the Bamulab X1C printer.
In any case, it is recommended to print with 0.2mm layer thickness, 5 upper walls, 3 lower walls and 15% infill. Supports are not necessary.
