Jewler's Hand Vise

This is a simple and lightweight hand vise. Just twist the handle to tighten or loosen the grip.

Made out of PLA, it's strong enough for many uses, but using a stronger and more heat-resistant material for the arms and cross bar would be better.

A M5 x 35 cap head screw inside the cross bar extends down into the handle. Tightening the handle forces the wedge between the arms and increases the clamping force. Two M4x16 screws are also used to mount the arms.

This includes a basic arm design, but many different arm styles can be remixed for different purposes (Arms are 4.8mm thick).

Using an M4 and M5 tap helps to clean the threads after printing.
