Description

An easy to print and build omnidirectional wheel with interchangeable shafts, made originally for standard reduction motors for small robotics projects

 

Specs:

  • OD: 58mm
  • ID: 8mm
  • Screw size: M3X20
  • Roller ID: 2.5mm
  • Roller OD: 10mm

BOM:

  • Plate: 4pcs
  • Spacer: 1pc
  • Roller: 8pcs
  • Shaft: 1pc
  • M3X20 Screw: 4-8pcs
  • Paper clips: 2-4pcs

Assembly:

  1. Cut a paper clip into 8 ~26mm segments
  2. Insert a paper clip segment into a roller
  3. Drop into a slot in the plate
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until plate is filled
  5. Layer another plate on top in an inverted way
  6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 until you have another plate complete
  7. Layer the spacer on top of a plate 
  8. Drop the other plate on top of the spacer
  9. Screw the entire assembly together with 4 screws
  10. Insert your shaft into the hole (fixing plate facing outside)
  11. Screw your shaft to the wheel
  12. Fix the wheel to the motor
