Bill of Materials
Description
Charge your phone and amplify the sound coming from your speakers! The speaker doesn't need any power as it's just reliant on the shape of the inner cavity! No wireless charging puck? No worries, just skip the MagSafe puck holder! The one that I used is no longer widely available, but I believe this is the same one (non-affiliate link.) If you have a different one that you'd like to use please comment the dimensions of it below and I might be able to make an adapted version for you! The provided holder works with 56mm diameter chargers.
I used screws to attach the grill to the main speaker. They were self-tapping screws from Maker's Supply, but I don't remember what size. You can use any screws that fit or glue the grill on.
Important printing information!
There are two versions of the front panel: If you have a resin printer, print the "resin-enabled" version on an FDM printer and print the smaller parts (avail. in the STL downloads) on a resin printer. I don't think an FDM printer could reliably handle the tiny parts, so if you don't have a resin printer, print the “FDM-only” version. All of the small parts are integrated into the main panel, so you don't need to print them separately.
There are also two versions of the side handles- one with integrated bolts, printable in multicolor, and one without bolts so you can print them on a resin printer and glue them in. If you don't have a resin printer, print the integrated bolt version (even if you don't print it in multicolor)
Profiles for a 0.2mm nozzle are available for the panel and grill for clearer text and finer details.
Please note the slicing settings. I used fuzzy skin with a few modifiers to get it exactly as needed. There's also a modifier to increase the weight on the front so it doesn't tip over as easily when a holding a phone. Supports are required under the feet of the main component. I've added a few recommended supports in other areas.
Update March 15, 2026: Stronger base, heavier front, reorganized profiles for easier printing.
