Description

IMPORTANT: After printing and cleaning off the supports, it’s worth checking the mouthpiece. There might be leftover elements/threads that need to be removed. If you don’t do this, the whistle won’t work.

IMPORTANT 2: If you’re printing using the STL file instead of the ready-made profile, make sure to set SUPPORTS ONLY ON THE BUILD PLATE. This is crucial to ensure that supports are not printed inside the model.

So far, I haven’t been able to fix this issue. As soon as I adjust the print settings, I’ll upload a profile with the corrected version and remove this notice.

I was inspired to create this model by videos on YouTube. I came across materials about these whistles and instantly fell in love with their sound. After many attempts, I managed to achieve this effect, but the project sat unused for about two years. Now I’ve decided to share it. I have some ideas for modifying both the sound and the appearance of the whistles, so it’s possible that more versions will come in the future.

If the whistle doesn’t produce the desired sound there could be three reasons why this happened:

  1. You downloaded the STL file and set supports everywhere instead of only on the build plate. As a result, supports printed inside the model, disrupting the airflow.
  2. You printed it with the correct supports, but some "spaghetti" filament got stuck inside the mouthpiece. This needs to be removed, preferably with tweezers.
  3. You printed everything correctly, but you’re either not blowing hard enough or holding the mouthpiece at the wrong angle. It’s worth practicing different ways of holding the mouthpiece in your mouth, as this greatly affects the sound.

If you notice any issues with the print, please let me know, and I’ll work on fixing them. After all, the goal is for all of us to enjoy high-quality prints. I want my projects to bring joy, not create problems. I’m eagerly awaiting your feedback! :D

HAVE FUN!
