Description

Case to store games for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. Now with Version 2!

Version 2 fixes issues users were having with the z-seam making it harder to open and close. It also smooths out the fillets on each corner, so they are not as triangulated. I updated the design, while still keeping the overall look the exact same, some dimensions were just optimized. I printed 7 different test prints, across multiple brands and colors, of the new design to test and see if my new design would reduce the bulging that could happen with the z-seam on some user's printers. All 7 tests came back with positive results, the z-seam bulge was heavily reduced and had no effect on the friction fit design. I left the original print profiles up just to make sure the new Version 2 would print the same way on other user's printers. Eventually if I hear that the new Version 2 completely fixed the z-seam issue I will delete the original print profile. So please try Version 2 and let me know how it turned out for you!

This case is a friction fit design so no extra parts will be needed to hold the case shut. Just press it shut, and it will stay closed until you pull it apart again. It can fit 16 cartridges and once closed the cartridges will not move from the slots. Slots for the cartridges have enough clearance that they are not damaging the cartridge, but also not letting them rattle around too much.

Depending on the tolerances of your specific printer, the z-seam may need to be sanded down or worked a little to get the friction fit rim to slide nicely. I have not had to sand any that I have printed, but some I did have to move the top on and off a couple times for them to slide nicely. If your clearance seems tight around where the z-seam is, I recommend trying this method before trying to sand the z-seam down.

Dimensions are approximately: 70.8mm x 60.3mm x 37.5mm
