Welcome designers and makers, I have devised a thread-melting aid

This device facilitates the seamless melting of brass threaded inserts directly into the corresponding printed part, precisely matching the intended bore diameter

Depending on the printed part's dimensions, it can be positioned on the device's base during the melting process, or conversely, the melting aid can be placed atop the printed part

For consistent melting at a uniform height, ensuring flush alignment with the component surface when multiple threaded inserts are involved, a stop can be adjusted to maintain this precision

I recommend printing the melting aid using PLA-CF for its rigidity, though any suitably stiff filament will suffice

Beyond the printed components, the following are required:

- Item profile: 20x20x200mm
- Stop bar: brass, d=6mm, l=150mm
- Lens head screw: M5x12
- Lens head screw: M3x20
- Countersunk screw: M5x12
- Tension spring: l=100mm (In my case: self-made)
- Nut: M3
- Knurled screw: M5x30
- Soldering iron (Used: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CR14H2V2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title)
- Threaded inserts: M3, M5 (Used: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0BWRY5W9P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
- Melt-in inserts (In my case: self-made)
