Description

Hair Claw Clip

We live in a world where 3D printers, smartphones and quantum computers exist. Yet we have hair clips that barely sustain a year of use.

I wanted a clip that can last, take large volumes of hair, is strong, and unisex. This design is based on the most reliable one I've used thus far and further iterations are in the pipeline as I put this version through daily use. Feedback would be great.

You will need some hardware
1 x Torsion Spring. The design accepts up to 20mm torsion springs and you'll see that I've used 2 x 9mm torsion spring in mine.
1 x Retaining rod. They usually come along with torsion spring purchases (Aliexpress) and this designs accepts rods of at least 25mm length.

Print in whatever material you wish, my version shown uses ABS and it works just fine and is strong. Would try PLA in future.

Supports are, unfortunately, required. I've used slim tree supports in my profile.

The built is pretty much self-explanatory but let me know if you need help.

A boost would be nice =)
