A 3D printable piece of filament. Use it to create your own dual-, tri- and quad-color filaments. Unlimited options for color combinations. One could even use transparent PLAs or PETGs for dual color PETG. Start your experiments now!

This updated version 2 includes a parametric model maker option to customize your filament as some people have requested it.

Recommended print settings

Layer height: 0.2mm (0.1mm for more accurate diameter, but not needed)
No supports required

Usage

Print your desired filament (Pro tip: Use similar color strength filaments. E.g. black and white will lead to a dirty white when printing with your created filament)
Cut off the end discs
Insert the created filament into your printer carefully to prevent tangling
Print with your own filament
