Please correct your title this is Hygrometer not Hydrometer. Two completely different tools. A hydrometer measures the specific gravity (or density) of liquids, while a hygrometer measures the amount of water vapor in the air (humidity). The key difference is what they measure: hydrometers are for liquids, and hygrometers are for air.
