Description
Mahjong lamp the Bird.
In Hong Kong and countries in Southeast Asia, locals visit each other's homes during the Chinese New Year to share blessings and spread happiness. One of the favorite activities among locals during this festive time is to play Mahjong.
The Bird tile in Mahjong, often referred to as the "Sparrow" or "Que" (雀) tile, features an image of a bird, which symbolizes good luck and freedom in Chinese culture. This tile is unique and not part of the traditional suits (Dots, Bamboo, and Characters) or honor tiles (Dragons and Winds). While it is not used in standard Mahjong gameplay, the Bird tile is sometimes included as a decorative piece or in specialty Mahjong sets, adding a whimsical and cultural touch to the game.
