Filament spool cufflinks, dual color

Geek out with these Bambu Lab filament cufflinks to show off some personality when wearing a suit. Or gift them to one of your friends or family members. You can customize the color of the filment inside. Be bold and print the spool black , or be more subtle, and print them in light gray. If you only print one set, the printing time is just over 2 hours.

There are three filament ‘statuses’:

1. The full spool
2. Medium filled spool
3. Close to empty spool

Printing instructions

There are 6 cufflinks on the plate, choose which one you would like, and remove the other four, or print them all. You can mix and match them.

This models is too detailed for a 0.4 nozzle or up. I've tried many different prints to make it work, but without much success. Even at extreme low speed settings and highest precision. The cufflinks are fragile, so handle them carefully. If you want to make them a little sturdier, consider printing them in PETG or ABS/ASA. You can also scale the model. In that case, I suggest a scale of around 1.15. The cufflinks have a standard diameter of 16mm, but you can go as high as 19mm. 

Supports

The models need a little support for the rotating part. Also, the cufflink with the nearly empty spool and mid-filled needs some extra support to make the print look nice. You should be able to carefully remove them with a hobby knife. 

Some notes:

Initially, I wanted this to be modular, so you can print whatever you want without purging the AMS. However, the spools became a little fragile, so in the end, I decided to combine them and make it a multicolor model. The only downpart of this model is that the inner-ring of the spool has to be the same color as the filament. You can change this, but will triple the use of the filament and print time.
