Description

This is a 3D printed stand for the HORL 2 sharpener.
It's inspired by the official HORL station.

The stand has a cavity so you can add weight to it. I've personally used big washers, as you can see below.

It also has a cavity in which you can add two M5 washers so that the HORL magnetic angle support can stand upright and stay in place.

You can either add these by pausing the print, or by adding them afterwards and using the washers cap, depending on the design you choose.

Note that I have yet to test the postprint added washers design with the cap (which should hold by a simple tight fit).

You will need:

  • weight for the stand:
big washers will do, the cavity is 47mm in diameter and 9mm deep
  • two washers for the angle support magnets to hold it in place:
M5 or M6 washers should do, the cavity is 20 x 54 mm and 1.2mm deep, and the two pins inside are 5mm in diameter

As always, any and all constructive feedback is much appreciated!

I have already made one myself from wood. But it printed excellently. However, I will try again to insert a magnet for the filament guide, as it is also in the original version. It makes the whole thing more stable

Simple and elegant, but the idea of using washers around the magnet is truly ingenious
