Magnetic switch (fidget toy)

Magnetic fidget tool with 2 possible modes (2x snap or 3x snap). The GIF shows both variants.

Features:

• Sits well in the hand due to its shape and size 

• 3x snap mode: left/middle/right (4 magnets needed)

• 2x snap mode: left/right (3 magnets needed)

• Without wear due to the magnets

Additional required parts:

• 3 or 4 magnets: Ø4x2mm

They are included in the “makers beginners kit” or you can buy them seperat in the Bambulab shop. Both are linked.

Assembly: 

Part overview: 

Step 1: 

Always mark the foremost magnet with a pencil so that you can keep the two sides of the magnet apart. 
Put the first magnet with the marking facing up in the left hole. 

And press the cap on it:

Make the same with the right magnet/cap: 

Step 3: 
Now you have to choose between the 2 variants: 

 
 
If you mount a third magnet in the middle hole, you will get the 3x snap mode (left/middle/right). 

If you want the 2x snap mode (left/right), the centre hole must be left empty.

But you must add the cap in any case.

Step 4: 

Make sure that the arm can rotate freely. Take it off again and place the last magnet on the right cap. Than put the arm on the axis/magnet:
