Clock with Removable Hour Tiles for Multiple Time Zones
I've had this idea for a few years: a clock that can show the time in 2, 3, or 4 different time zones using removable hour tiles. My first design had the numbers fixed to the body, but that caused issues with daylight savings. So, I reworked it to let the hours pop off, making it easy to move them forward or back.
I used a dot on the tiles for the numbers, so you can place the tile in any orientation and still read it. I thought about using different colors for each number tile, but I have limited stock. Also, having to remember red = 1, blue = 2, and so on might be confusing.
This is my first upload, so please be kind :)
I printed the tiles white with black dots for the best contrast and used AMS for the colour changes. The body is printed in grey to make the tiles more visible on the clock.
I found that I need to scale the tiles up to 102% so they push in and stay put. If they’re loose, they’ll fall off when the clock is wall-mounted. Not sure if this is just my issue or not.
