Design Inspiration:

I conceived this design after encountering an image on T station that showcased a PTFE tube secured via a tightening mechanism—an ingenious approach

Design Description:

My previous rice bin adapter design, utilizing PC4 series pneumatic connectors (both M5 and M6), exhibited some filament abrasion. Furthermore, since adopting the AMS lite, printing frequently halts due to two primary factors: resistance from the pneumatic connector and significant resistance from the 2mm inner and 4mm outer diameter of the tubing

Since metal causes abrasion, perhaps filament won't

This concept underpins this design, offering several advantages:

  • Elimination of metal components; the design is entirely 3D-printable, requiring no additional purchases and eliminating metal-induced friction
  • Inserting the PTFE tube slightly into the container (image 4) facilitates smoother filament feed
  • The tightening mechanism firmly secures the PTFE tube upon final tightening (image 7)
  • The filament maintains direct contact only with the PTFE tube, leading directly to the machine

If you own an AMS lite, another design I've created might prove helpful:

Structural Overview:

It comprises four parts (the yellow part resides within the container)
