Description

Boost Me (for free)

Boosts are what drove the recreation of this lid to having better thermals -- boost away and lets keep pushing good ideas into reality.

EDIT 12.23.24

I've re-uploaded the profile to now include 6 plates instead of 4. The final two are special edition honeycomb airflow lids that feature the Radeon logo:

EDIT 12.22.24

I battled heavily between making the STL file contain the modifications, or to have Bambulabs Studio simply perform the trickery needed to get this effect. I went with bambu (so you can resize the hole sizes if you want). :)

The rest of this description is lifted from the unaltered replacement lid (below):

This machine has been absolutely asking for this makeover, as this lid is purely cosmetic and held in place by 4 small magnets (which we re-use here). The top lid doesn't get you into any important hardware.

I personally own the UM880 Pro, so if someone discovers this lid works with more than the 780 XTX, UM880 Pro and UM890 Pro, please comment so I can alter the verbiage in the imagery, etc. I was just going off what I could find on Youtube in regards to whether it was compatible – its pretty easy to spot the design (they've used it for two generations now).

I highly recommend a cool design on your print plate so you can make this top lid really stand out. The black original one from Minisforum did it no justice.

I uploaded a bunch of images, so take a look at them all!

Wondering if you're compatible? Does the underside of your lid kind of look like this?:

Most importantly the 4 magnet bumps top and bottom here. A lot of the precision wasn't actually necessary, but the XTX series has the backlight stuff so, added them in anyway.
