Description

The Technics SL-1200 Mk7 comes without hinge mounting points for the dust cover.

I wanted somewhere to keep the dust cover while the record player was in use, rather than just propping it up against the cabinet. I saw some discussion online about either modding the case with self tapping screws, or building the hinge into a bracket attached to the cabinet.

I decided to take a 3D print approach and remixed the excellent DDJ-FLX4 Wall Mount by DixonKean_503825 (which is itself a remix from the original by Erik_639045).

I've ended up with this bracket that I attach to the wall directly behind the turbtable. I've also adapted the lip so that it can hold the sleeve of the currently playing record. Pretty happy with where I landed.

From the original models, I've removed the spot for the headphone jack in the FLX4 mount, obviously increased the width and depth. I've also re-made the screw holes and adjusted the lip as well as general strength. It's additionally also been measured to fit precisely between the rubber gromits in the Mk7 dust cover. It will work for other dust coveres (especially in the FL-1200 range) but it fits the Mk7 dust cover like a glove.
