Description

I recently upgraded to Fanatec QR2 and wanted a way to display my spare wheel. But I didn't want the mounting system to go near the electrical pins or rub on the connection mechanism.

This design just allows the wheel to slot into the stand without risking any damage. It has been tested with the QR2 lite as pictured.

I printed in PLA, with 4 walls, 15% lightning infill. Prints standing up as pictured with no supports all in one piece. With these settings it was about 188g and 4 hour print time, but was solid as a rock

Excellent design and print! Holds my wheels perfectly and makes them into a nice display piece.

Hi. I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work for you. Do you mind telling me which wheel you tried this with? Are you sure it has a QR2 *lite* adapter? Maybe you have a picture so I can improve the design?

can you check if it’ll fit a QR2 regular? I could slice it small to test fit but if I give you measurements maybe you can check? - width of front round section - 74mm - depth of front section before it hits the ‘finger holder’ - 28mm (estimate but should be good) - thickness of finger holder ridge - 2.3mm - thickness of round sections behind the finger holder - 74mm same as front - distance from finger holder to rear - 28mm. It is further back to the bolt holes but some paddle shifters overlap

Here's the dimensions of the cut out for the QR Lite. Starting from the back of the wheel it's 95mm diameter, then the 'lip' cutout is 110mm diameter, and back to 95m followed by an 85mm diameter smaller section at the wheel side of the quick release. From back to front the distance of each is 14, 3, 17, 8mm. Long story short the QR2 sounds like it's a smaller diameter overall while being longer overall as well, so this isn't going to fit. If you can't find something that does fit, I'm happy to try to produce something to try but I don't have a QR2 myself so it'd be a bit of guess work.

it sounds like you actually would need something like this. Though it's probably worth confirming the diameter of the release lever.
