Description

The “universal” mount that the Worx LeafPro system comes is made to fit a round hole, and doesn't fit well to a Toro blower's oblong hexagonal output. It also is just a canvas bag without a smooth transition from the output of the vacuum to the input of the hose, which frequently causes clogging. Reviews also suggest the plastic cinch on the LeafPro frequently breaks, as well.

To solve all of these problems, in Onshape I removed the shoulder from wdeninger's “Toro Super Blower Vac Bag Attachment” and connected it to the Worx half of mulcmu's “Ryobi Vac Attack adapter for Worx LeafPro Collection” using Loft and Shell method (it took some significant fiddling to get Fusion 360 to work with the geometry!). This has a direct connection that uses the Toro's built-in clip on one side and the Worx's twist-detent lock on the other, so it doesn't require any tools, zips, or tape. It also provides a smooth transition from the hexagonal output of the Toro into the round input of the Worx so clogging should be minimized.

Supports: It's designed to print standing up without supports, but I used brim ears to be safe given how high its center of gravity is. However, printing it vertically does mean the z-layer-lines are perpendicular to the force of gravity against the hose; since the hose is light this shouldn't matter, but if it turns out to be an issue then turning it on its side and printing with supports will be what I try next.

Filament Recommendations: I recommend printing in a filament that has a little flex like PETG so the clip can be actuated easily and the part isn't too brittle. ABS/ASA, PA, and are also likely good choices. I recommend against PLA since bending the clip to attach/detach the part will eventually stress and break the clip. I also suspect that since this part's walls are thin, 95A TPU will likely be too flexible even at 100% infill, but I haven't tried it.

Compatibility: I've tested this with my Toro 51621 UltraPlus Leaf Blower/Vacuum and my Worx WA4054.2 LeafPro hose. It should fit other Toro blowers that use the same outlet (like the 51591 Super BlowerVac and the 51619 Ultra Blower/Vacuum), but YMMV.
