Description

Quadruped Robot for MG996R Servo Motors:

This robot is a great starting or intermediate robotics project for anyone looking to advance their mechatronics skills. The robot itself is simple to assemble. While there are some small modifications to be made to the servo motors, these are easy to complete and add to the fun of tinkering with a robot.

The parts have been designed to use minimal support materials (only needed on one plate) to save on print material and time.

Reference Images for assembly:

Motor modification: Remove the four long screws holding the bottom cover of the motor and replace it with the new printed cover, ensuring the wires are routed through the pre-modeled gap without pinching them.

Leg Assembly: Once all 12 motors have been modified, you are ready to assemble the legs. Below is a screenshot of one of the legs for reference. Starting from the center frame, the parts order is femur, shin, and foot.
