The Aircraft

T-6 Texan

The T-6 Texan, developed by North American Aviation and first flown in 1935, played a pivotal role in training pilots for the Allied forces during WWII and beyond. Known as "The Pilot Maker," the Texan was specifically designed to provide student pilots with experience in advanced flight maneuvers, aerobatics, and formation flying. This single-engine aircraft bridged the gap between basic trainers and frontline combat aircraft, preparing pilots to operate high-performance fighters and bombers. The T-6 was used by over 30 countries, serving in various roles including combat, counterinsurgency, and aerobatic displays. With a wingspan of 42 feet, a cruise speed of 158 knots, and a range of 750 nautical miles, it combined robust performance with reliable handling. Over 15,000 units were produced, and its enduring popularity is evident in the many restored examples flown today in airshows and as warbird icons. The T-6 Texan is a lasting symbol of the dedication and skill required to master the art of flying.

The Model

Another one of my early models, this one also assembled with ease for me, not requiring glue. Again, this kind of depends on printer and settings, but at the very least should be close. May want to experiment with the print order setting and may change from inside first to outside first. I've found that can make the difference between a loose fit and a tight fit without having to adjust size.
