Venus Box Iris Mechanism Gift Box: A Hai Creature
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hello everyone,
I was captivated by containers with closures utilizing an iris or Venus mechanism.
But I found the simple open-and-close function rather mundane.
So I set out to find a more appealing design and discovered two fragments on Thingiverse for my remix. I have listed the two original files used below.
From a simple Venus box, I aimed to create a super cool maw with sharp teeth, reminiscent of a fearsome creature.
Perhaps a shark or an octopus, poised to strike.
Incidentally, a delightful play scene for the Dummy 13 figure.
I must admit, I'm not particularly artistically gifted, so post-processing 3D printed objects isn't my forte.
But I have the option of using my AMS.
So I began merging the two models into a single file and then used the freehand tool in Bambu Studio to color them.
The teeth in white, the gums in pink and red.
However, I also placed monochrome teeth on a build plate for printing without the AMS.
The Venus box consists of six parts that need to be assembled:
1x Cover
1x Threaded component for opening and closing
2x Inner doors (red in my version)
2x Outer doors (the teeth in my version)
CAUTION !!! CAUTION !!!
If you experience issues with bed adhesion, you may encounter difficulties with the doors. Ensure a perfectly clean build plate, use adhesive, or adjust your slicer settings to include a generous brim.
The doors are very thin and have a small contact area with the build plate.
I used the new Cool Plate SuperTrack for my print and had no adhesion problems whatsoever.
The photos and time-lapse GIFs from the printer demonstrate that it's possible to print all parts without supports or brims. Therefore, please don't blame me for poor adhesion in your reviews.
Correctly assembled, the box measures approximately: 10cm diameter, 5.5cm height. The maw or body for filling has a depth of almost 4cm and a diameter of approximately 4.5cm
The cover snaps securely onto the threaded plate, and the doors close perfectly; the box can be opened steplessly and holds its position without opening further on its own. Simply rotate the bottom plate to open or close.
Please follow the steps below; they should simplify assembly.
Take the two INNER doors and connect them by joining the hooks with the pin.

Take the two OUTER doors and connect them in the same way as the inner doors.

Insert the INNER DOORS LATERALLY into the OUTER DOORS

Now OPEN all doors

Turn the doors over and place them on the threaded component

Now attach the COVER; it snaps into place at four points with a CLICK. Find the correct position where all four points can snap in and press the cover firmly until it locks.

Printed on a Bambu Lab P1S using the Cool Plate SuperTrack with original Bambu PLA filaments: PLA Basic grey/blue grey, red, Jade White, and PLA Matte Sakura pink.
I would greatly appreciate appreciative comments, likes, and ratings. Feel free to add a photo of your fearsome creature.
