Description
Description:
Bring industrial style into the modern age with this unique 3D-printed LED light. Designed to look like classic industrial piping, the combination of form and function makes it a standout piece in any room. The light is crafted almost entirely through 3D printing, including both the inner and outer diffusers, which soften and spread the glow for a warm, inviting vibe. Two acrylic tubes house energy-efficient LED strips, completing the look while enhancing the brightness.
This isn’t just a light—it’s a conversation starter. Its industrial-inspired design pairs perfectly with contemporary, rustic, or minimalist spaces, adding a touch of grit and personality to your décor.
These can be controlled via ESP32, off-the-shelf 3-Pin LED Controllers, WLED, etc. I've found that WLED has far more control options for small strings of LED's. I've included the .STEP Files for anyone who'd like to make their own modifications.
Details at a Glance:
- Material: Can be printed using PLA, PETG, or whatever you desire

Required Parts:
All Components for this project can be purchased through Maker's Supply
1. KA001 - WS2812B RGB LED Strip Light

2. HC003 - 40x36x126 mm Clear Acrylic Rigid Tubes

Printing:
I've made every effort to make printing this project as seamless as possible. All profiles have been optimized for the best results. AMS is not required
Nozzle: 0.4mm Hardened Steel Hotend
Build Plate: Textured - Or whichever you prefer
Both Diffusers are printed using Vase Mode
Assembly:
(NOTE: Assembly is the same between the Wall and Desk Mount Versions)
All Supports should be removed before assembly
Glue is Required
Step 1: Cut 495mm (or 30 LED's) of WS2812B Strip Light (KA001) and fold it in half.

Step 2: Once folded, Cut another 7 LED's off on one side, and 8 LED's off on the other. You'll be left with 3 Strips Total.

Step 3: Cut 6 pieces ~70mm long of 22 gauge wire and wire the 3 LED Strips from the previous step together, making sure to connect +5V to +5V, Ground to Ground, etc. (Be sure to test the LED's after this step to make sure everything is functional)

Step 4: You can now start “threading” your LED Strip through the Wall/Desk Mount Side Hole and up through the top. Continue until the last LED is just past the opening (as shown in image 2). The Finishing Screws can also be glued in during this step.

Step 5: Install and Glue the Inner and Outer diffusers, followed by the HC003 Acrylic Tube. Glue for the Acrylic Tube is optional as the tolerances are pretty tight.

Step 6: Fold the remaining LED Strip in half and thread the end back through the first light diffuser. It should look like this:

Step 7: You can now assemble the Corner Piece - Simply Glue the 90 Degree Bend into both Adaptors - It'll only fit in one way

Step 8: Install the Assembled Corner Piece - Also Assemble another Wall/Desk Mount Piece using Step 5.

Step 9: Thread the rest of the LED Strip into the empty Diffuser and seat the other acrylic tube with the 90 Degree Connector…… And that's the final step! Step back and admire your new prismatic addition!
