Description

ECOTI Iris adapter. Tool-less installation, it's using friction fit. It sits very snug, allows you to use iris, sacrificial lenses, rubber caps and so on. It's more stable and wobbles less than with the mount ring it originally comes with.

Changelog:

  • Added a cut-out on the rim. Friction fit is perfectly fine, but for peace of mind and extra protection you can now strap it to the tube with a rubber-band or a zip-tie.

Troubleshooting:

  • Due to the fine threads i wouldn't go above a 0.4 nozzle or 0.08mm layer height. If you want to speed up print time use variable layer height.
  • With a M30 to M37 (1.5–26 mm) iris (i use one from Amazon) you get a little bit of fade on the edges of the tube you install it on. With binos use it on the non dominant side. Might be remedied by using a larger iris, for instance M42-M24 (1.5-29mm). I will try when i get one.
