Description

Bulkhead hose fitting that fits ¼ inch PVC tubing. I printed several of these to connect my water reservoirs to refill my “self-watering” planter beds (which use a float to indicate the refill level). I do highly recommend printing this in food-safe filament if using for gardens with edible plants. I personally use eSUN PLA which does break down with constant contact with water and sunlight in ~7 months, but I have not found another affordable brand/filament with FDA NSF documentation. I also use food-safe silicone to “pad” both the nut and the main part to make sure there are no leaks since my water reservoirs are 5 gallon water tanks.

There are two sizes available - both will fit ¼ inch tubing, the only difference is the size of the thread piece/nut.

Well, for my case i had to scale it by 4 more mm to fit the hose but print profile is amazing, the only problem there was, was a layer that was left behind inside the adapter, just keep in mind to refresh that if you have the chance, thank you.

@a1batros Thank you for letting me know! The ID of the hose being used sometimes varies a little bit depending on the brand but 4mm is more than I would expect. I will do a test print of this to see what’s going on. I also have a few versions of the model with slightly different diameters which I can also upload later today.

@A1BaTrOs Hi, just wanted to give you an update. I printed off some test pieces from the file and am getting consistent measurements of 7.7mm for the barbed attachment for all 4 prints in the file. I also do not see a layer inside of any of the parts. I'm not sure where the discrepancy in measurements that you experienced could be coming from, but I'm happy to troubleshoot further in Dm's!
