AMS dry pod kit

Probably fastest printing desiccant containers for ams.

Full kit prints in About 4 hours.

The pods can be taken out without having to remove the spools from ams. There are two pods for each slot. The thick pod sits in front and thin pod sits at back for easier removal.

The lid opens all the way giving you a wide opening to swap silica beads.Hence:

*No spillage

*No funnel

*No messing around

The lids snaps in place and gives a very satisfying click. The snap points are made oversized by design for longevity and can feel tight initially. But with usage as they rub, it will get easier to work.

This design is inspired from a lots of great designers. Kudos to each one of them.

My motivation was to make printing faster while keeping everything fully functional.

Version 3:

This version is designed ground up making some crucial improvements. Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions.

1. The first problem addressed in this version is lid latching and slipping using double locking mechanism.

   The lid is made to slide from bottom instead of top making it impossible to slip out while pulling out of ams ( This was an issue with version 2) and new notch and slot has been designed to lock the lid in place. 

   

2. A new lip has been added to the lid to prevent it from falling into the box.

   

   3. Grips have been added to the sides for better handling.

   

Version 2:

This version makes printing time a bit longer, also you have to be a bit cautious when pulling the boxes out of ams, as lid can slide depending on tolerances of printer. I didn't want that earlier and wanted to keep this fastest possible design. However after community requests i am uploading this version which does add few extra minutes print. But honestly the changes made to this version are quiet significant and makes it more user friendly,  So i don't mind this print.

1. The handles on containers have been repositioned to the lid which makes it easier to slide out the lids. Because of this the pod sits so that the back of container faces front and the lid faces inwards towards ams.

2. A retaining shelf have been added in the container that keeps the lid from falling into the container. This adds the extra printing time mentioned above.
