Description

This is the zero-clearance throat plate insert I designed for the 12" Bosch Axial Glide miter saw (GCM12SD).

NOTICE: It has come to my attention that this miter saw has been released with two different two different locations for throat plate mounting screws.  Please make sure your mounting screw locations match this model.  For the other version, please visit https://makerworld.com/en/models/935199#profileId-899934

Careful when fitting the pieces together so as not to damage the ends. The center is 100% infill so I recommend placing one piece in your vice clamping onto the center. Then, place a clamp onto the center of the second piece and use a rubber mallet (hitting the clamp) to tap the pieces together.

I also recommend putting some scrap wood down atop the installed insert when performing your first cut. The wood will keep the plastic from melting and solidifying on top of the insert.

This was also one of my very first designs, so I sure there's much for me to learn. Any modifications and/or advice would be welcome.

NOTICE: If you're NOT using Bambu Studio, please MAKE SURE that the infill of the center section of each piece is set to 100% infill.
