Description

This is the updated Version of Marble Run V1:

  • Old model: https://makerworld.com/en/models/878388#profileId-831935
  • I was often asked if I could solve the problem that the blocks always slip. So I created a base plate (small and big; can also be connected) on which the blocks can be placed through recesses without slipping. Blocks can be stacked on top of other blocks through recesses and connectors (see image 5)
  • For everyone asking why I don´t use magnets: Because it´s almost impossible to place the magnets so the blocks can be rotated and placed freely as before

-------------------------------------------

A modular Marble Run system of building blocks you can stack together to build your own custom marble tracks!

Perfect for kids and adults alike, for example as a christmas gift.

I used a Wood PLA filament to get the wooden texture you see at the pictures

In Bambu Studio there are all blocks on one plate so you can select the blocks you need for your track.

If you don´t have balls, you can buy them or you can print them yourself: https://makerworld.com/en/models/215238?from=search#profileId-234416

I’m sorry but I rebuilt the marble run from the first promo photo and I am just unable to roll a ball from start to finish. the blocks hardly click into place in the grid, let alone the ones stacked on top of those. The blocks easily get knocked around because of the rolling marble and the marble gets stuck everywhere. This idea has potential but I really think you should reconsider the stacking mechanism. You disregarded magnets but I really think that could be the key here. Just magnets, no grid.

it's really good, I just wish that there was a way to properly stack them without sliding, overall pretty decent.

huh, I made a similar version just for fun, 4 sided cubes, rather than hexagonal GraviTrax-like parts. I have yet to release my version, but here is an image of what they look like. This is the first version, changes WILL be implemented.

Rather well-designed, it would just need one or two more blocks to allow descending a floor
