Thanks to all your wonderful feedback I now present version 2. It has a slightly modified bump above the blade, making it more prone to cutting. I also modified the tube so you won't have to remove it from the wrapping paper roll to access the cutter.

Kudos to the wrapping paper cutters that already exist! But the variant I was looking for didn't exist so I had to create it myself. Here in Sweden, the small X-acto blades are quite uncommon so I wanted one with a standard 60mm utility blade instead, and also without screws. Because I think many prints do well without much extra hardware. It's just a design challenge.

Thought and done. Drawn this together before dinner and printed while I ate. Works really well and makes wrapping gifts a little easier. This is my version of a Wrapping paper cutter.

Available in two sizes. Choose the right profile:
Small for up to 50mm rolls
Large for up to 70mm rolls

Blade cover by Simarilius can be found here (thanks mate 👍)

Amazing design and print quality. This cuts paper with ease. Both sizes printed well. I made a small change to the design to allow it to slide around the paper without having to remove it from the paper roll. Love that it uses the larger utility blades.

Look at early photos of people, there is a slightly different model there. The author has already changed it in a new way (v2) to make it more convenient

Eager to try this for wrapping this year, Could you let me know, besides the layer height, is there any other difference between the 70mm roll profiles?

No difference. Some people, like myself, appreciate the looks and feeling on better layer resolution. But some prefer speed.

Excellent! Works perfectly with the standard utility knife blades we have in New Zealand. The blade locking tab is quite stiff to go in, but I think this is a good thing. There's no way it would slip out, and I doubt I'll need to change the blade. Print profile looks very clean, no layer lines.

Layersare visible due to my filaments configuration. Not a profil problem, need some tweaks with this cheap filament. Overall quality is very good.

Cheap filaments can be tricky. But suitable for this kind of simple models :)

Print worked flawlessly. The blade lock insert is a bit difficult to put in and take out but otherwise seems to work great! Edit: on my 4th print now, everyone in my family wants one haha great job

Thanks for the 5 ⭐ review. Yeah the lock can be a bit tricky. Wanted it to sit really firm. A trade of for a easier but less secure option. I thought this was the right path since you probably wont need to change the blade any time soon.

Perfect print. First snap together design I've used and it fit great. Family and friends are loving these for the holiday! Fit, finish, function 10/10.

Great design, looks really smart and well considered design - plus only an hour to print. Also great that it uses the utility knife blades common in the UK. Shaved a little off the peg just to make it a little easier to press in and remove for changing the blade. Well done!
